What changed

What you can do in the journal now, and a short note for each deploy.

In the app

Recovery

A signup focus, not a clinic. Cravings take ten seconds. Use is a slip you can log, not a reset to zero. This chapter sits next to days logged this year. Morning mail can say today is a protect day when sleep was short. An evening close and a meeting reminder use the mail you already turned on. A trusted person can hear that you opened the day — not the page you wrote.

The day

Rate how it felt without a score that judges you. Daily Review can add mood, energy, stress, comfort, clarity, productivity, and social notes. Set an intention, write, count gratitude, sit until you stop or pick a length. Empty morning or evening sections stay out of the way until that part of the day. Speak from the top of the day to sort a note into the page after you review it. Each Ask, Speak, and page photo says what leaves the app: the text or photo, not your email or name. Age, height, and weight from Profile can go with a Daily Review, meals, or diet ask. Saving in the corner shows the last write, recent changes, and this day’s history — writing, habits, medication, meals, and the rest — with the time and the device. History week cards list that day’s plan lines. Hide anything you are not using. A tab left open on another device will not overwrite the day with a blank page. Coming back after a deploy loads the new page.

Habits

Check them off, or count them — tap the card, not only the checkbox. Type the number on a count habit, or keep using plus and minus. A goal of 0 is a log, not a streak. A daily goal can be 8,000 steps. Sitting starts open until you stop, or you pick a length. Log a sit you already did. Gratitude and intention check themselves off when you write them, speak them, or take a page photo. A writing habit checks off when the journal has text or ink. An Exercise flag fills minutes from a watch total. A tally filled from a sample is labeled Watch until you change the number. Name a habit when you speak, and confirm it before it lands. Writing about a habit does not check it off. When you add one you have already been doing, fill the last 7, 14, or 21 days. A count habit whose unit is steps, flights, or kcal can fill from a watch total. Design stacks and the after / I will line on Habits. Check them off on the day. If yesterday was missed, the day asks you not to miss twice. Stats can show both directions: the habit and the day. A month for one habit shows what you logged beside what you planned. A blank day stays blank.

Calendar

Monday to Friday by default, or three days, the full week, or a month. A repeat keeps going, and a change can be that day or every time it happens. Sleep can sit behind the day, from a watch or from hours you typed. Attach a habit to a time slot as short as 15 minutes. Plan a default day in a modal. Keep haircuts and checkups on a cadence, and start from a life-situation habit pack. Download a calendar file one-way. Journal history cards list that day’s plan. Speak can add a block, hold time, or set a reminder after you review it. Not a meeting app.

Sleep, drinks, meals, stool, meds

Personal notes for the day, not a clinic export. Sleep has its own page: last night, a short morning journal, and tonight’s targets. A night filled from a watch sample shows as Watch until you change the hours. Meals live on their own page. Drinks can be alcohol, caffeine, or a name you add. Medications have their own list: once a day, a few doses, or the times you usually take them, with a 30-day grid under today’s doses. Age, height, and weight live on Profile and can go with a diet or meals ask. New input sections stay off until you turn them on.

Learning time

Minutes you already spent. Goals can fill in from this.

Library

Keep the things that make a life yours. Books, games, shows, movies, and music live as a library, not a backlog. Current is what you are in. Want to and Finished are collections you can open. Search, add a title, or import a list when you need them. Ask for something next from what you have enjoyed. Personal memory, not a streak.

Sleep

Last night, how it felt, and tonight. Wearable numbers stay in the background. Sleep score is supporting data when a device has one. Personal notes, not a clinic chart.

Meals

Record what you ate by typing, talking, or taking a photo. Set the time you ate if you are logging it later. Nutrition estimates are optional and shown as approximations. Look back over a stretch for variety and possible gaps. Extra context like sleep or medications stays off until you add it. Personal notes, not a clinic label.

Workouts

Save a named workout with lifts, sets, and weight, or a time or distance. Search an exercise name when you add one, or type your own. Start it on a day and check off each set, or mark a run done. Checking a set can start a rest timer; pick 30 seconds to 3 minutes, or turn auto-start off and use Start rest. A boxing bell rings when rest is over. Play over music keeps a song going. Speak from the top of the day can add a run or a lift after you review it. If the name matches a plan item, you can check that off in the same review. A habit flagged Workout checks off when any of that lands. A watch event lands as a Watch session and does not replace one you typed. Turn Workouts on in Customize page for a peek on the day. Personal notes, not a training-load score.

GAD-7

Seven questions about the last two weeks, when you want them. The score and the date sit on the day. After a score is in, ask how it sits next to Daily Review, sleep, meals, or meds. A personal note, not a diagnosis.

PHQ-9

Nine questions about the last two weeks, when you want them. The score and the date sit on the day. After a score is in, ask how it sits next to Daily Review, sleep, meals, or meds. A personal note, not a diagnosis.

Goals

A name, a number, and a date — or a practice with no date. Optional why, an area, how often, and what percent is enough. Set when it starts. A weekly goal’s week runs from that weekday — Wednesday to Tuesday if you began on Wednesday — then rolls the next week. Edit a goal after you add it. The list stays in the order you created it. Start from a SMART template for sleep, food, movement, learning, or people, then change it. Minimize templates and the add form once the list is yours. A habit-linked practice counts days that meet the habit’s bar, or you can add the counts so a long day covers a short one. On track follows the days so far, not a whole week on day two. Progress from Today, a habit, or learning time. Open goals say if they are on track. Hitting the percent can unlock Enough. A weekly look-back: five areas, two points each, ten in all. Eight of ten over four weeks is the aim. The morning mail can mention open goals and this week, without listing every one. Not a score.

Tomorrow

A short plan for the next day, and a note when yesterday might color today. Within 2 weeks is soon. Someday is later. Title on the journal, notes on hover or tap, and a page to edit. Each item shows the day you added it. Check one off, or move it into today’s plan when it is time.

Notes

A list on the left and the open note on the right. Pin one to keep it first, search, and start a new note from the top. On a phone, tap a note to open it and go back to the list. Copy a whole day from the journal when you want a copy to keep. Archive one when you are done with it.

Quotes

Keep lines you like. Turn Quote on in Customize page to sit one on the day. The morning email can include it too. The pick is for the date, not a score.

Voice and recap

Talk, or photograph a written page. A photo can pull writing, an intention, gratitude, and todos — you pick what to add. Speaking can also add a workout you already did, after you review it. Ask for a recap when you want a pass over the day, pick 7, 14, or 21 days, and keep the look in Writing if it fits. Finish Daily Review and ask for a look at that day, with sleep, meals, or meds if you want. Ask about a stretch of Daily Review, GAD-7, PHQ-9, sleep, meals, meds, journal, intention, or gratitude, then keep the look if it fits. After a GAD-7 or PHQ-9, ask how that score sits next to the days around it. Ask about diet and body with your own question over meals, stool, and meds. Age, height, and weight from Profile can go with those meals, diet, or Daily Review asks. Anyone can join on the free plan. An invite starts you as paid. Paid and patron accounts share a daily AI allowance. Free can open Patreon; I turn AI on by hand.

Themes

Themes sit in families: classic, gaming, technology, analog, nature, atmospheric, and science. Light, dark, and quiet stay. New looks include Arcade, Tactical, High Fantasy, Terminal, Mainframe, Blueprint, Newspaper, Forest, Cosmic, Dreamscape, Laboratory, and Experiment. Wide and narrow screens can use different themes. A signup profile picks a starting look.

Stats

The look-back page. Running totals, mood and habit charts, and the same insight widgets that used to sit on the day. Customize what shows. The day stays on Journal.

Character mode

Optional. Adventure and Character read XP, skills, and momentum from the journal you already keep. Sleep, food, and movement feed Vitality; learning feeds Intelligence; people feed Social. A long quest, Build a Healthy Lifestyle, asks for eight of ten for twelve weeks. Daily actions stay XP. Goals stay achievements. Turn it on in Settings.

Integrations

Settings can issue a device token so a Shortcut or the iPhone app can send daily steps, sleep, and named workouts. A successful send marks Apple Health connected. Watch workouts land on the day without replacing one you logged. Sleep from a sample fills the journal only if that day is still empty, and that night is labeled Watch until you change the hours. A counted habit whose unit is steps, flights, or kcal fills from that day’s total if the watch number is higher, and that tally is labeled Watch until you change it. A habit flagged Exercise takes exercise minutes. You can also upload a CSV of the daily totals. You see the secret once.

What shipped

Recovered is now Sonavra

2026-10-02

Same app, same account, new name: Sonavra, at sonavra.ca. Your life, in context. It has a new logo and a calm blue look, with Sonavra as the default theme for new accounts. Your entries, habits and settings are all where you left them, and any theme you picked stays. Old recovered.ca links still work and bring you here. On the website you may need to sign in once more.

Jump around Progress

2026-10-02

Progress has a row of Jump to chips under the range switch, one per part of the page (Patterns, Overview, Wellbeing, Habits and so on), so a long record no longer means a long scroll. Sign-in and sign-up fields line up on the left with a clearer card heading, the Lab intro is shorter, and the clinician page calls its sleep section Recent nights.

Plainer names for check-ups and starter habits

2026-10-02

The two-week questionnaires are now Worry check (GAD-7) and Mood check (PHQ-9) wherever they appear in the app. New Recovery accounts start with "Morning anchor" and "Notice what I need" instead of "Medication window" and "One HALT note". The line under the date in Character mode is gone.

Clearer words on the first day, Habits and Check-ups

2026-10-02

The menu now says Recovered instead of Home. A habit's plan reads "After breakfast, I will take the morning dose · kitchen · morning" instead of running the place and time into the sentence, and Habits says "Done 3 of the last 7 days" instead of counting opportunities. The first day shows one welcome at a time, How today feels says it is optional, the Inbox and Check-ups explain themselves in plain words, and on a phone the New habit and New goal buttons sit under the page intro.

WHOOP, Oura readiness, and one entry per workout

2026-10-02

You can connect WHOOP to bring in recovery, strain, sleep and workouts. Oura now brings in readiness and workouts too, and connected wearables sync each time you open Recovered. When two devices record the same run, it shows once, from the device you prefer. In Settings you can ask for the device or app you use next. Health numbers from every source now come in the same way, and a CSV import no longer keeps place counts while Places is turned off.

Confirm your email

2026-10-02

New accounts and changed email addresses get a link to confirm the address is yours. Until it is confirmed, signing in with Google or Apple won’t join that account, and check-in invites wait. Check-in emails also show your name as plain text, and connecting Oura finishes only in the browser where you are signed in.

A password change signs out other browsers

2026-10-01

Changing or resetting your password now signs out every other browser that was signed in. A deleted account stays deleted if an old sign-in is still open, and you can still sign up again later.

Meal photos land at the time you ate

2026-10-01

A meal photo from your phone now goes on the day and under the meal it was eaten, instead of waiting without a time. Spoken meals go under the meal you named, and calories are estimated whenever the food can be named.

Footer lines up

2026-10-01

The footer on the FAQ, help, and legal pages now lines up on the left, matching the home page, instead of centering some lines and not others.

See what goes to AI before it goes

2026-10-01

Before an AI feature sends anything, you now see exactly what will go to OpenAI and choose whether to send it. In Settings you can set each AI feature to ask first, send when you tap, or stay off, and the topics you keep out of AI are now left out of every request. Requests never include your name, email or account, and photos have their location and camera details removed first.

Worry time, writing topics, and the STOP prompt

2026-10-01

Tap Park a worry in the Writing section to put a worry on today's worry list and let it wait. Set a daily worry time from the Worry list worksheet and it goes on your Calendar with a reminder. At that time, write about each worry: what you can do, and what is not yours to control. A new Writing topic worksheet holds something to write about, and when it is from your therapist it stays on Today until it is done. Writing prompts are now tucked behind Try a prompt, and two new ones are there: STOP for a hard moment, and Worry time.

Reminders for habits and medications

2026-10-01

Set a reminder at a time you pick, on the days you pick, for any habit or medication. Find it on Habits or in Settings. Email reminders, if you turn them on, have a button that checks the habit off or logs the dose.

Suggestions follow your goals

2026-10-01

Suggested habits and Things you could try now look at the goals you have open and put the ones that help with them first, saying which goal each is for.

Writing prompts in the Journal

2026-10-01

The Writing section on Today now has a few prompts to start from. The first is resentment and fear writing, from Anna Runkle: tap "I am resentful at", "I have fear that" or "I have fear of" to start a new line, write fast, and keep going as long as lines come. There are also prompts for what you are avoiding, a letter you will not send, and what went well. Your writing saves the same way it always does.

Describe a goal in your own words

2026-10-01

When you make a new goal, you can type it in a sentence, like "meditate 10 minutes a day from my Watch, reset weekly", and the form fills itself in. It can also link a habit or set it to tick from Apple Health. Nothing saves until you check it and create the goal. Each use counts as one AI use. A minutes habit set to tick at 10 mindful minutes now counts toward its goal only on days that reach 10.

Meals kept in the phone Inbox stay on your day

2026-10-01

Keeping a meal photo in the Inbox on the iPhone app now adds the meal to your day with its photo. Before, the meal and its photo could be cleared without being saved.

Pictures in exercise search, and going back to a past version

2026-09-30

Exercise search now shows a picture of each move next to its name, served by Recovered itself. Past versions of a habit, goal, note or saved meal have a Use this version button that puts it back the way it was, and keeps what it said before as a version too.

What I track, Things I track, and habits suggested from your own patterns

2026-09-30

Settings has a new What I track list. Today, Progress and the character follow it, so a part of life you don’t record no longer sits at zero on your character. Drinks is now Things I track: pick coffee, nicotine, cannabis, gambling, spending, gaming or your own, each counted, in minutes or in dollars, and cravings can say what they were for. In recovery, you can mark which ones you are stepping back from. New habits start with a few suggestions: from your own patterns when one is clear, then from what you track.

Weight goals, a switch to hide weight, and past versions

2026-09-30

Goals can now aim to lose, gain, or stay in a weight range, read from the 7-day average of your weigh-ins so one day up or down does not move them. Settings has a switch to hide weight numbers everywhere. Habits, goals, notes and saved meals now keep past versions you can look back on.

Choose a plan in Settings

2026-09-30

Settings is where you choose and manage a plan. Once paying opens, it lists Supporter and Plus with what each adds and their prices. The Patreon buttons now open your plans. Classic themes stay on every plan; the other themes, the monthly letter, and new wearable connections come with a paid plan. Admin shows what each AI feature costs.

Clearer Terms and Privacy, and a safer account

2026-09-30

The Terms and Privacy pages now say who runs Recovered, name every outside service that handles your data, list each AI feature, and cover health information, paid plans, medication reminders and emergencies. Both are drafts until a lawyer reviews them. Behind the scenes, the app now refuses account changes sent from other sites, only stores real photos and recordings, and limits how fast any one account can call it. Stats also loads faster when you have a lot of Apple Health data.

What changed knows when you started

2026-09-30

Mood, energy, stress, sleep quality and habits in What changed now start from the first day you wrote something here, so older Apple Health days no longer make your start look like a change. Sleep and heart charts still show the older days, faded, with a line where you started. HRV going up and resting heart rate going down now carry a short note that this is often a good sign. The chart under a change that has an Around then line shows again.

Morning and evening check-ins

2026-09-30

Today has a morning check-in and an evening check-in, apart from the sleep check. Each is one tap, or more detail when you want it, and the time of each answer is kept. Pick reminder times in Settings.

Bring in old journal pages and past life events

2026-09-30

Inbox has a new "Bring in past journal pages" option: choose a stack of photos of pages you wrote before, and each is read on its own and waits in Inbox for you. A page with a date written on it is set to that day, and you can change the date before saving. The journal also has "Add a life event" for something bigger, like a week at a retreat. Give it a first day and, if it ran longer, a last day, and it shows on the journal for every day it covers.

How today feels has its own card

2026-09-30

On Today, How today feels (unwell, pain and people time) now sits in a bordered card like the blocks around it.

Free, Supporter, and Plus

2026-09-30

There are now three plans. Logging, habits, goals, check-ups, Progress, Apple Health, and export stay on every plan. Free now includes a few AI calls a week, Supporter has a daily AI allowance and the morning recap, and Plus has a larger allowance. New accounts try Plus for two weeks. Settings shows your plan and how much AI you have used.

Progress cards that are easier to read

2026-09-30

What changed now says what moved and which way, marks the day it changed, and writes the before and after averages on the chart. Sleep and stress, explained leads with whether the week was about usual, lower or higher, and the model view is tucked behind "Everything at once". How things link up explains what the dots and lines mean and lists the strongest links. How you felt, Your year, Your best days and every mood view now use your daily review when you did one and your day rating otherwise, so switching between them keeps one record. Each card says which days it covers, and Daily reflection and the sleep score, efficiency and stage cards now follow the range you pick.

Weekly goals start over on your day

2026-09-30

Weekly goals now start over on Monday, or on the day you pick on the Goals page. A goal you log by hand, like "call a friend twice a week", starts fresh each week too. A tally habit only counts toward its goal on days it meets its own target, and a weekly goal’s pace looks at this week, not every week before it.

Today uses the whole screen

2026-09-30

On a wide screen, the quick taps (how today feels, right now, the check-in, habits and any check-ups due) sit in a column on the right, beside your intention and writing. Narrower screens keep the single list.

A stuck capture no longer reads forever

2026-09-30

A note, photo or voice capture that stopped partway, for example during an update, now shows as failed after half an hour, with Retry and Delete, instead of staying at Reading. Your lab also explains more plainly what a look does, and the note about nights away from home is clearer.

Calendar time stays off your plan, and the X closes

2026-09-30

Putting time on the calendar no longer adds a todo to that day’s plan. The X on the add or edit window now closes it straight away, and the day column on the right runs the full height of the screen.

Your health numbers day by day, and a sleep score for Watch nights

2026-09-30

Progress has a new Health page: one day at a time, with steps, heart, body, daylight, mind and intake beside where each usually sits for you and the last two weeks. Nights from an Apple Watch now get a Recovered sleep score, worked out from how long you slept, how steady your bedtime was and how often you woke, since Apple keeps its own score inside the Health app. Doses you log on the web now stay when the iPhone saves the same day.

Drinks, weight, Someday and goals from Speak on the Journal

2026-09-30

When you speak or type a quick note on the Journal page, the review now shows any drinks, weight, Someday items and goal progress it heard, and adds the ones you keep. Before, those were left out there.

Calendar reminders on the iPhone

2026-09-30

The iPhone app can remind you of planned calendar blocks that have a reminder set, repeats included, and can put your planned blocks on the phone’s own calendar if you turn that on.

Nights away from home

2026-09-30

If you turn it on, the iPhone app can note three things about each day from your location: whether you slept away from home, how many places you went, and how long you were at home. Only those three numbers are sent, never where you were. Patterns can then check whether nights away change your sleep, What changed can point to a stretch of nights away, and the strain note can mention one. It is off until you turn it on under Settings > Connections, and turning it off deletes the numbers.

Nudges from your own record

2026-09-30

When a pattern has held up as a finding, a short line can appear on Today and in the evening email: "On days your last caffeine came within about 6 hours of bed, you slept around 20 minutes less than on other days. From your own record, 41 days." Nothing appears without a finding behind it. The line goes out on about half of the days it applies, so the app can later tell whether it does anything. Turn it off under Settings.

Send feedback from any page, and a tidier Lab, Today and Patterns

2026-09-30

Send feedback is in the menu on every page. Unwell, pain and time with people sit together under How today feels, the Lab page lines up, and a pattern opened on Progress no longer shows the page behind it. Archived habits you made by mistake can be deleted for good. Missed doses now count medications on your list, and Medications is now Medications and supplements. Heart rate, HRV and scores on Progress show an average instead of a sum.

Run the pattern engine on your device

2026-09-30

Settings gains a switch that moves the pattern engine into your browser. With it on, patterns are worked out and kept on this device, and your account holds no pattern results. Saved and hidden patterns stay here too. Looks, forecasts, check-ups and the strain note still run on the server, and the Where your data goes page says so.

Where your data goes

2026-09-30

Settings gains a page that says, in plain words, what is worked out on your device, what runs on the server, and which requests go to an AI model only when you ask for them. It is generated from the code, so it stays true as the app changes. The "Open your lab" link on Settings also works again.

Seasons of you

2026-09-30

Once your record reaches back a year, Progress gains "Seasons of you": anniversaries of changes and of things you noted ("A year since sleep moved up"), and this month set against the same month last year, with how many days each side rests on. The monthly letter can mention the same lines. Two readings side by side, not a verdict.

Naps and afternoon sleepiness

2026-09-30

The Sleep page gains "This afternoon": one tap for how sleepy you are, 1 to 9, and a place to note a nap with its minutes and when it started. Patterns can then ask whether short nights go with sleepy afternoons, whether longer or later naps go with a slower or shorter night after, and whether a sleepy afternoon goes with the productivity you rate.

Add drinks, weight, Someday items and goal progress by voice

2026-09-30

A voice or typed note can now suggest drinks you had, your weight, things for Someday, and progress toward one of your goals. Each waits in Inbox, where you can change it or leave it out before anything is saved.

Time with people

2026-09-29

The evening check asks how much time you spent with people today, none to a lot, one tap. Patterns can then ask whether time with people goes with mood that day and the next, with sleep that night once drinks and bedtime are held steady, and, for the recovery set-up, with cravings. Check-ups gains a three-question loneliness note once a week, with its own line over time.

Changing a habit or goal keeps your past

2026-09-29

Changing how a habit is tracked, such as a 10-minute walk becoming 10,000 steps, now applies from today, and earlier days keep counting the way they did. A goal’s target works the same way, and you can set a new target to start on a later date, such as 6 gym sessions a week until December and 3 from January, with earlier weeks keeping the target they had.

Achievements in the week in review

2026-09-29

If you get the week in review email, it now lists any achievements you first earned that week, with what each one was for. Weeks without one leave the section out, and turning off Show achievements in Settings leaves it out too.

See what you have been eating

2026-09-29

Meal estimates now note food groups and the plants in a meal. The Meals page counts them over the last 7 or 30 days, such as how many different plants, days with fruit, or fish twice this week. Meals from before this show as not known rather than none. Nutrition numbers stay hidden unless you choose to show them.

Worksheets from your therapist

2026-09-29

Tick From my therapist on a worksheet, and add a due date if there is one. While it is open, a quiet line on Today says so and takes you to it. Mark it done when you have finished and the line goes away. The Worksheets page can show only the ones from your therapist.

Suggest feelings from what you said or wrote

2026-09-29

Tap Suggest feelings under your writing, on a voice or typed note, or in Inbox. You might see up to three feeling words, each with the words that suggested it, and values for mood, energy and stress. Nothing is saved until you choose, and a value you already set stays unless you replace it.

Your plan in Apple or Google Calendar

2026-09-29

Calendar > Export calendar can now make a private link that Apple Calendar or Google Calendar subscribes to. It shows your planned blocks and repeats, with titles and reminders only, from a month back to three months ahead, and updates as you plan. Nothing from your journal goes into it. You can make a new link, which stops the old one, or turn it off at any time.

Achievements remember the day you earned them

2026-09-29

When you earn an achievement, the day is kept and a small card on Today says so once. Dismiss it and it stays dismissed. Progress lists your achievements with the day each one was earned, with or without Character mode. Ones you had before today read “Earned by” since the exact day is not known. Turn them off under Settings > Show achievements.

Worksheets for working through a hard thought

2026-09-29

A new Worksheets page, under More writing actions on Today, gives you three ways to put a hard moment on paper. A thought record walks through what happened, how strong each feeling was before and after, the thought that showed up, any thinking traps in it, what supports it and what does not, and a more balanced way to see it. A cost and benefit list weighs a belief or a habit. A mood log notes how you feel through the day. Fill in what helps and skip the rest. A worksheet is a place to think on paper, not a replacement for care.

Save meals you eat often

2026-09-29

Save a meal from its menu on the Meals page, then add it to any day in one tap under Quick add. Saved meals keep their name and any nutrition you recorded, and you can rename or remove them anytime.

Start a habit from evidence

2026-09-29

When you add a habit, Start from evidence lists eleven daily habits with good support, such as a morning daylight walk, 7,000 steps, a caffeine cut-off, three good things and a 10-minute sit, each with one line on why and where it comes from. Picking one fills the form, and some tick themselves from Apple Health.

Mood and stress, right now

2026-09-29

Today shows a small Right now row in the morning and the evening: one tap for mood and one for stress, 1 to 5. Patterns read the morning and evening taps separately, so it can ask whether a workout goes with a better evening once the morning is held steady, whether a stressful morning goes with more cravings that day, and how much of the morning carries into the evening. The Daily Review rating stays the day's mood; the taps only fill in when it is blank.

Morning light in Patterns

2026-09-29

Patterns can now read daylight before 10 from the watch, and a new Outside before 10 day tag for anyone without one, and ask whether an earlier dose of light goes with an earlier bedtime, falling asleep faster or better mood, beyond the day's total daylight. A walk outside before 10 joins the things you could try.

An AI recap of yesterday in the morning email

2026-09-29

If you have AI features, you can add a short paragraph about yesterday to the morning email, written by AI from what you recorded. Turn it on in Settings under the morning email. It uses one of the day’s AI asks; if none are left, or it can’t be written, the email arrives as usual without it.

Week in review email

2026-09-29

A once-a-week email you can turn on in Settings, on the evening of the day you pick (Sunday unless you choose another). It shows how many days you recorded, habits checked off, how your goals are going, and how sleep, mood, and energy sat next to your usual, with a highlight or two from the week and anything you unlocked. A quiet week gets a short, kind note and nothing more. It is off until you turn it on, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Plan tomorrow

2026-09-29

In the evening, Today and the calendar offer Plan tomorrow: one screen that shows what already repeats tomorrow and what your day template adds, lets you pull in Someday items (soon ones first), write your Tomorrow list, and give any of it a time on the calendar. The next day, the Plan section shows one quiet line about how yesterday’s plan went.

A new habit can start a look

2026-09-29

When you save a new habit, Habits asks one optional question: want to see whether this moves anything? Pick mood, energy, stress, day rating, productivity, sleep quality or sleep, and a four-week look starts on that habit, alternating on and off weeks. The habit card shows the look while it runs and its verdict when it ends, and the Lab keeps it with every other look.

Drag on the calendar

2026-09-29

On the web calendar you can drag across empty space to draw a new time block, drag a block to move it to another time or day, and drag its bottom edge to change when it ends. Everything lands on quarter hours. On a touch screen, rest your finger for a moment before dragging so a swipe still scrolls. The block editor still does all of this from the keyboard.

What changed and more on the iPhone app

2026-09-29

What changed, with its question about what happened around a change, Seasons of you, Your normal range, Your best days and Your day’s rhythm can now show on Progress in the iPhone app, worked out the same way as on the web.

Recent sign-in activity

2026-09-29

Settings now lists your recent sign-ins and account changes, such as a new password, a changed email or a connected Oura ring, with the date, the browser and system, and a shortened address. It never holds your password or anything you wrote. Entries clear after six months. If something there wasn’t you, change your password.

Delete your account yourself

2026-09-29

Settings now ends with Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm and your account and everything in it, from journal days and habits to health data, photos, and connected apps, are removed right away, with no email needed. It can’t be undone.

Habit colours, one-tap done and copying on the calendar

2026-09-29

A time block linked to a habit now wears that habit’s colour. A block that has arrived shows a small check you can tap to mark it done, the same as Mark as recorded. You can copy a block to another day or time from its editor, and copy a whole day’s blocks to another day from the day panel.

Unsubscribe from any email in one step

2026-09-29

The morning email, the evening email, care reminders and check-in notes now end with an unsubscribe link, and mail apps that show their own unsubscribe button can use it too. It turns off only that one email; everything else stays as it is. Care reminders also have their own switch in Settings now.

Download a copy of your data

2026-09-29

Settings now has a Download my data button. It saves one file with everything your account holds (days, habits, goals, notes, health readings and settings) whenever you want it. No email needed.

Your windows: where your cravings have clustered

2026-09-29

For recovery accounts, a new page under Check-ups reads the cravings you have logged and says where they have clustered in your own record: by hour of the day, by weekday, and by the kind of day, such as after short sleep or the day after a slip. Under each window sits what you did the last few times and a plan in your own words, which stays yours and is never sent to a model. A description of the record, never a verdict on you.

Habits that tick from Apple Health

2026-09-29

A habit can check itself off from Apple Health, such as a walk of 20 minutes or more, 10,000 steps, or 10 mindful minutes. Set it under From Apple Health when you add or edit a habit. It is checked each time the iPhone app syncs Health, and the tick is marked as from the Watch. Your sitting habit also fills from Mindful Minutes, so a session in an app like Waking Up counts without typing.

Steadier phone sign-in and weather

2026-09-29

The iPhone app no longer trips a sign-in limit when it catches up on a lot of saved changes at once, and weather lookups accept the Apple key however it was pasted into the server settings.

Behind-the-scenes security updates

2026-09-29

Several libraries the app relies on for sign-in, uploads, email and storage were updated to versions with security fixes. Nothing changes in how you use the app, and your password works as before.

Then and now, how things link up, and what you have done

2026-09-29

Under each change on What changed, a Then and now link draws the days before and since as two shapes on one axis, so you can see how far a measure moved. A new panel, How things link up, draws your measures as stars joined by the patterns between them, solid for findings and dashed for tentative ones; tap a line to open the pattern. Another, What you have done, keeps counts that only grow, days logged each week with gaps left as gaps, and your personal records.

Your day's rhythm, your best days as a fingerprint, and your range as strips

2026-09-29

Progress has a new panel, Your day's rhythm: a 24-hour ring showing when you typically sleep, eat, have your last caffeine, train and tap stress, from the times you already record, with weekends as their own ring at the detailed size. Your best days now draws all seven things it compares as a row of dumbbells, hardest days to best days, so you can see what did not differ as well as what did. At the detailed size, Your normal range draws each measure over the last four weeks with your usual band as a wash and a ring on the days that sat outside it.

Pollen and air quality join the weather

2026-09-29

If you picked a place for weather, each day now also carries its fine-particle level, air quality index and, in Europe, its pollen count, from a public feed with no account needed. Patterns can ask whether a high-pollen day is followed by a worse night or a lower-energy day, and whether more fine particles sit with lower mood or a smaller share of the night asleep. Explore can chart all three.

Skip a dose on purpose, and rate how hard a workout was

2026-09-29

The medications card has a Skip today button, so a dose you chose not to take is told apart from one you forgot to log. After a workout you can rate how hard it was from 1 to 10. Patterns now ask whether a missed dose is followed by a change in mood, sleep or stress, and whether a heavier training day is followed by a longer night, a lower-energy day or a higher heart rate through the night. Same-day mood, energy and stress patterns hold a missed dose steady for anyone with a medication habit, and What changed lists a week with three or more missed doses.

A newer, faster server

2026-09-29

Recovered now runs on a newer server with current, supported software underneath it. Nothing changes in how you use it, and all of your records came across.

Sleep you mention in a note now reaches your night

2026-09-29

Say or type how you slept, like "bed at 11, up at 6, about 7 hours, slept badly", and the Inbox now offers it as sleep for last night. Saving it fills in what you said and keeps anything your watch measured.

Your lab: every look you have run, in one place

2026-09-29

Progress and Settings now link to Your lab, a page that lists every four-week look you have run, newest first, with its on and off weeks, what it said, and how many switches between weeks moved the same way. One line at the top keeps the record: how many likely helped, showed no clear difference, or could not say.

Steadier AI answers

2026-09-29

When OpenAI is briefly busy or slow, the app now tries once more before giving up, so fewer AI answers fail. If an answer runs too long and gets cut off, you see that plainly and can try again.

A small What’s new card on Today

2026-09-29

When something new ships, Today shows a short card with what changed and a link to the full list. Dismiss it and it stays gone until the next release. Turn the cards off in Settings. On Habits, View history now opens that habit in the History calendar.

Copy, share, underline, and text size in notes

2026-09-29

Copy a note or share it from its actions. Underline words with the U button or Cmd/Ctrl+U, and pick small, normal, or large text for a note.

Steadier handling of unusual requests

2026-09-29

If something goes wrong while the server answers a request, you now get a plain message and the rest of the app keeps working. Requests that try to slip database commands into a form are turned away, and uploaded files are only shown back as photos or recordings.

Every pattern can say how sure it is

2026-09-29

Open a pattern and tap How sure? to see the numbers behind it, each with a line of plain meaning: the days compared, the size of the effect, what was held steady, the check for chance, how stable it has been, and what would change the verdict, such as about how many more days it would take to reach a finding.

See how much of each day was logged, and bring in history from Daylio or Bearable

2026-09-29

Progress now shows a small meter of the last 30 days: how many were logged and how much of what you usually record they carried. Patterns say whether they held after leaving out thin days, and the one-model views weigh a thin day less. In Settings, a CSV export from Daylio or Bearable becomes days here, with where each came from kept on the day; days you already wrote are left alone unless you ask to fill in what they are missing.

A printable page for your clinician

2026-09-29

Check-ups has a new For your clinician page: your PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores over time, the last 90 nights, medications with first and last logged dates, the changes and findings in your record, and a short note on how it was made. Tick the parts you want, then print it or save it as a PDF to bring to an appointment. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Pictures for patterns, looks and what moves a measure

2026-09-29

Opening a pattern now shows the days with the thing beside the days without, one dot each with a median bar, so you can see how much they overlap. A four-week look shows its four weeks as bars with the on weeks shaded and a whisker for the likely range. Read together shows each driver as part of one bar, with the part the model cannot explain left plain. The pattern scatter names its axes.

A Your cycle card on Progress

2026-09-29

Progress can show a Your cycle card: which day of your cycle it is, how long your cycles have run, and which of sleep, mood, energy and stress sit differently in the second half of your cycle than the first, from your own days. Turn it on from the Progress catalogue. The Tonight and tomorrow forecast now knows where in your cycle tomorrow falls.

Patterns hold where you are in your cycle steady

2026-09-29

If you track your period in Health or with the period tag, Patterns now works out where you are in your cycle and holds it steady in every question, so a monthly rhythm is not mistaken for something else. Four new questions look at the days before your period against mood, sleep and comfort, and the second half of your cycle against wrist temperature. If you do not track it, you can type the first day of your last period under Settings.

A forecast for tonight and tomorrow, scored in the open

2026-09-29

Progress has a new Tonight and tomorrow card: what your own days suggest for tonight’s sleep and tomorrow’s mood, energy and stress, as a range rather than a number. It appears only once it does better than simply guessing your usual, and the next day it says whether the range held. A line at the top of Today carries the sleep and mood forecast when there is one.

What changed shows each change as a chart

2026-09-29

Each change on the What changed panel now comes with a small chart: a dot for every day, a step at each level’s average, a band for the middle of that stretch’s days, and small ticks for what began around the same time, such as a habit, a medication, the watch, or a trip. Hover a day for its value, or show the levels as a list. The compact size keeps the words only.

Your nights stack up on Progress as a sleep tape

2026-09-29

A new Your nights panel on Progress draws each night as a bar from falling asleep to waking, shaded by how you rated it, with weekends marked and a line for where weekday and weekend sleep usually centre, so you can see how regular your sleep is at a glance. Hover or tab to a night for its numbers, or show the same nights as a list. The detailed size shows twelve weeks.

Unwell today and a pain tap at the top of Today

2026-09-29

Today now starts with one tap for being unwell and a pain rating from 0 to 10, and the evening check can carry pain too. Patterns on Progress hold the unwell tap steady on every question about how a day felt or how a night went, once you have used it, so a bad week is less likely to make or hide a pattern; a few results may move between finding and tentative because of that. Three new questions set pain next to sleep quality and mood, and the body-this-morning note lists a pain rating of 7 or more among what the record offers.

What changed can ask you what happened

2026-09-29

When the What changed panel on Progress finds a change with nothing listed around it, it now asks once, in a few words, whether anything changed around that date. Your answer is kept as a dated event and shown next to that change and any later one near the same date, and the monthly letter sees the same line. You can say nothing comes to mind, and you can add or remove dated events in Settings. An answer never changes what counts as a change.

Goals can count from Apple Health

2026-09-29

A goal can now count a number from Apple Health or a wearable: steps, exercise minutes, active energy, walking and running distance, flights climbed, time in daylight, mindful minutes, or sleep. Pick it under Count from Health when making a goal. With "each day", it is that day's total, so 10,000 steps a day shows today's steps against 10,000. It works the same on the phone.

Patterns read more of what your phone already sends

2026-09-29

Your heart rate while asleep, period flow, the phone’s own screen time and pickups, and the reasons you tick on the morning check now reach Patterns on Progress. New questions set drinks next to the night’s heart rate, phone time next to falling asleep and how long you slept, pickups next to stress, and a night you marked worry or pain next to the day after. Sleeping heart rate also joins Your normal range and Your body this morning. All of it goes through the same check for chance as before, and a day with no sample stays unknown rather than zero.

What changed can find more than one change

2026-09-28

The What changed panel on Progress now segments each measure so it can notice an earlier move as well as the latest one, and says so. A medication you started or stopped, the first nights your sleep numbers came from the watch, a trip, and a shift in working time are listed when they began around the same time. The bar for calling something a change is the same as before.

What tends to move it, read together

2026-09-28

The Sleep and Stress explainers on Progress add a short list from one model of your days, naming which recorded things went with sleep, mood, stress or energy when read together rather than one pair at a time, with each one’s share. Exploring only. A lagged pattern can now say how much of it may run through the night in between.

Your earlier check-up score is kept

2026-09-28

The first GAD-7 or PHQ-9 saved after check-up history arrived could replace the score you already had instead of adding to it. It is now kept.

Connect your Oura ring

2026-09-28

Settings, Integrations has Connect Oura. Sign in once and your sleep, sleep stages, sleep score, heart rate, HRV, breathing, steps and blood oxygen come in every few hours, starting with the past year. If you also wear an Apple Watch, you choose which one each number follows.

Looks that alternate, and things you could try

2026-09-28

A look now runs four weeks, one week on and one week off in an order a coin decides, and ends with a plain verdict and a range. Progress lists a few things your own record points at, each with the studies behind it and a look to test it.

Read your numbers from a screenshot

2026-09-28

Settings, Integrations has a new Read a screenshot. Choose a Screen Time screenshot, or one from a sleep or fitness app that doesn’t share with Apple Health. The numbers for each day are read off the picture, and you pick which ones to keep. Screen time and phone pickups can now sit next to your sleep and stress. This uses the paid AI allowance.

Check-ups: your GAD-7 and PHQ-9 over time

2026-09-28

Every GAD-7 and PHQ-9 you complete is now kept, not just the latest, and the Check-ups page shows them over time: the latest score in the instrument’s own bands, whether it moved by more than the instrument counts as a real change (5 points on the PHQ-9, 4 on the GAD-7), and a plain line suggesting a clinician when a score is 10 or more or has risen. After six results it also describes what the two weeks before each score looked like, and the page says how much your mood has swung day to day these two weeks against your own earlier fortnights. Descriptions of your record, never a diagnosis.

Room for your Health history, sleeping heart rate, and cycle tracking

2026-09-28

Recovered can now take sleeping heart rate and period flow from the Health app. It can also keep track of how far back your Health history goes, so the iPhone app can bring in past months once and patterns have something to work with from the first week.

Progress: how your body looks this morning

2026-09-28

With a watch worn overnight, This week vs usual now opens with a line on this morning: when resting heart rate, HRV, breathing rate or wrist temperature sit further from your own usual than they normally do, it says which moved, what in your record could explain it (drinks, a hard late workout, a short night, a stressful day, a tag), and that an easier day may be worth it. It also notices a slow drift in resting heart rate or HRV over two weeks. It describes, and never diagnoses.

Quick morning and evening checks, ready for the iPhone app

2026-09-28

Nothing changes on this site yet. The iPhone app can now save a one-tap morning check (how rested you feel and what woke you) and a few evening tags (sick, travel, screens in bed, and so on) without touching the rest of your day. They land in the same places as on the Sleep page, so patterns can use them.

The Recovered theme is dark again

2026-09-28

The Recovered theme now shows its own deep navy and lavender colours instead of looking like Light.

Themes ready for the iPhone app

2026-09-28

Nothing changes on your screen. The colours, fonts, and corner shapes of every theme now come from one shared list that the iPhone app can read too, so screens built into the app will match the theme you picked here.

Patterns: 27 more questions about sleep, mood and stress

2026-09-28

Recovered now also looks at how a moved bedtime, hours from caffeine or a meal to bed, a hard workout close to bed, drinks, evening stress, screens in bed, bedroom temperature, time in daylight and humid nights relate to your sleep, and at how sleep missed over the week, a low HRV night, daylight, mindful minutes, time with people or outside, drinks, steps and digestion relate to mood and stress. Each question was written down with its expected answer before any data was looked at, and a flat answer stays a real answer.

Patterns: more of your data is ready to ask about

2026-09-28

Asking a pattern question can now use sleep timing (how far bedtime moved, how regular your sleep was, sleep missed this week, time awake in the night, hours from your last coffee or meal to bed), bedroom temperature, breathing rate and wrist temperature from a watch, time in daylight, mindful minutes, evening stress taps, and day tags like sick or period. Nothing new to log; it reads what you already record.

Patterns: a stricter check for chance

2026-09-28

Days that resemble their neighbours count for less when a pattern is checked against chance, so fewer patterns are labelled likely more than chance and more read as worth watching. Nothing you logged changes; the cards are only more careful about what they call a finding.

A written note on your week, and removing a device

2026-09-28

This week vs usual on Progress can now write a short note on how sleep and stress went, using only the lines the panel already shows: where each sat against your usual, what was different, and patterns the app already checked. It never claims one thing caused another, and it is part of the plans that include written reflections. In Settings > Integrations you can now remove a device. Its daily numbers and sleep are deleted, and any sleep it filled goes back to your other devices or to what you typed before it synced.

Behind the scenes: smoother releases

2026-09-28

Nothing changes on your screen. Each change to Recovered now keeps its own note for this page, so several improvements can be worked on at once and reach you sooner.

Journal pages from the iPhone app are read again

2026-09-28

A journal page photographed in the iPhone app’s Capture failed with a technical message in Inbox instead of being read. Pages, voice notes, and quick notes from Capture are now read as expected. Any that already failed can be read again with Try again under Needs another try.

Why this week felt different, for sleep and stress

2026-09-28

Progress has two new panels. Sleep and stress, explained shows where each usually sits for you, how the last 7 days compare, what was different this week among the things that tend to move it, and the patterns already found for it. This week vs usual lists what clearly changed in the last 7 days next to the four weeks before, such as a later bedtime, more calendar time, drinks on more days, or warmer nights. Quick stress taps from the phone now count as that day’s stress when you haven’t rated it. Everything is compared with your own record, and two things moving together does not mean one caused the other.

A journal photo no longer needs writing, and nothing vanishes from Inbox

2026-09-28

A photo sent to the journal from Capture used to need handwriting on it, and anything else quietly dropped out of Inbox. Now a photo with no writing waits in Inbox as a short line saying what it shows, for you to keep, edit, or dismiss. Written pages are still read as before. If a capture can’t be read at all, it stays in Inbox under Needs another try, where you can try again or dismiss it.

Weather where you live, next to your sleep and mood

2026-09-28

Pick a place once in Settings > Integrations and Recovered looks up its weather every day, with a year of past days to start from. Patterns on Progress set the lowest temperature overnight next to how long and how well you slept, hours of daylight next to your mood, and how much the air pressure moved next to your energy. They go through the same check for chance as every other pattern. Only a rounded location, about 11 km across, is kept, and you can stop using weather any time.

Your phone calendar, next to your stress and sleep

2026-09-28

The iPhone app can now send the events in your phone’s calendar. Patterns on Progress look at how much of a day was booked, how many things ran back to back with no break, how much was planned after 6 pm, and when the last event ended, next to your stress that day and your sleep that night. They go through the same check for chance as every other pattern. A day with nothing in the calendar counts as a free day. Titles are kept but not used yet. Settings > Integrations shows when the calendar last synced and can remove every event it sent.

A watch workout joins the one you typed

2026-09-28

When your watch sends a workout you already logged by hand, such as a run you typed as Morning run, the two now become one session instead of two. They match when their times overlap, or, without times, when they are the same kind of activity. The watch’s minutes or distance fill in the cardio part, and your sets, notes, and how it felt stay as you wrote them. If you change a number afterwards, later syncs leave it alone. The iPhone app can also send quick stress taps through the day, from calm to very tense, so a day can show how stress moved, not only one rating.

Capture a journal page, and check things off by voice

2026-09-28

A photo in Capture can now be a journal page, not only a meal. The page is read and waits in Inbox as writing, an intention, gratitude, or plan items for you to check before anything is added. A voice note or quick note that says you did a habit, such as “did my walk”, or took a medication, such as “took my meds”, now offers to check it off in Inbox too. Something you say you skipped, forgot, or still mean to do is left alone, and nothing is checked off until you accept it.

Watch numbers replace typed ones, and more than one device can report

2026-09-28

When a watch or ring sends last night’s sleep, its numbers now replace hours, stages, heart rate, and bedtimes you typed by hand, instead of only filling blanks, so bringing in past data gives one night, not two versions of it. How you felt, your tags, and your notes are never touched. What you typed is kept aside rather than deleted. If you correct a number after the watch filled it, your correction stays through later syncs. Each device now keeps its own readings: when two report the same night, sleep and heart numbers show the average, and steps and other running totals use the larger one, so a phone left on a desk doesn’t undercount. Settings > Integrations lets you pick one device for any measure two of them report. The iPhone app can also send time in daylight, mindful minutes, mood logged in Health, caffeine, drinks, walking heart rate, VO2 max, weight, and noise levels.

Patterns for each habit, your own looks, what you write about, and a monthly letter

2026-09-28

Patterns on Progress now look at each of your habits on its own, not only at how many you finished. Every running habit is checked against your mood and energy that day and your sleep that night, so a card can say something like “Evening walk and mood”. These go through the same check for chance as every other pattern, and cards for a habit you archive go away. When you ask about something the app has no ready-made pattern for, it can now compare the two things anyway and show the answer marked as exploring, which means it was not set in advance and is not a finding. A new Monthly letter panel, off until you add it in Customize, writes a short look back at your last 30 days from what the app already checked: your averages next to the month before, what changed, what your best days shared, and your own intentions and gratitude. It does not see the rest of your days, and it needs about ten check-ins in the month. A new What you write about panel counts which everyday themes your writing keeps coming back to, such as work, family, money, or feeling tired, and names one alongside your mood only when those days clearly went differently. It counts words on your device rather than reading for meaning, and you can ask about a theme too, such as whether writing about work goes with stress. Under Patterns you can now design your own 14-day look: pick something to do on more days, like a workout or any of your habits, and something to watch, like mood or sleep. Afterwards it checks that the change really happened, then compares those two weeks with the two before.

Four new ways to see your days

2026-09-28

Progress has four new panels. Your normal range shows where sleep, mood, energy, stress, HRV, resting heart rate, and habits usually sit over your last four weeks, with a dot for today or last night, so something outside your usual stands out. What changed spots a measure that moved to a new level and stayed there, such as sleep averaging 40 minutes more since a certain date, and lists the habits or goals you started around then. Your best days compares your highest-rated days with your hardest ones: sleep the night before, workouts, breakfast, habits, drinks, and intentions. Your week shows how each day of the week tends to go and names a day only when it clearly stands apart. Each one says plainly that it describes your days and does not say what caused what. They appear once there are enough days to go on, and you can hide or move any of them in Customize.

Patterns checked for chance

2026-09-28

Recovered looks for dozens of patterns at once, and a few will always look real by luck. Each pattern on Progress now says whether it held up after checking for that: likely more than chance, or could still be chance and worth watching. The ones that held up come first. A short look now checks that the change actually happened before saying anything about the result, so two weeks where breakfast was recorded about as often as before say that plainly instead of reading like an answer. Patterns about the next day also account for how the earlier day was already going, so a good day that simply carried on is not credited to what you did.

Progress panels dressed for your theme

2026-09-27

Panels on Progress now take a frame from your theme instead of the same plain box everywhere: an inlaid edge with a gem on top for the gaming themes, a status bar and prompt for the developer themes, a sheet of paper for the paper themes, graph paper for the lab themes, a soft glow for Dreamscape and Biolume, and a green band for Forest. Trend charts on Progress use your theme’s accent instead of always drawing in sci-fi cyan, and Workouts and Meals pick up your theme’s colors for buttons, tints, and error notes.

Small moments when something is done

2026-09-27

Today reacts a little when you finish something. A habit card flashes once when you check it, the block’s name on the glance pops as it fills, and when every block is in, the ring closes with a short flourish in your theme’s style: a flare for the gaming themes, a scan for the technology ones, a swell for the atmospheric ones, and a stamp for the paper ones. The line under the ring says so in your theme’s words. When a habit run reaches 3, 7, 14, 30 days and so on, a short line marks it. None of this moves if your device is set to reduce motion.

Your year and your habits, drawn out

2026-09-27

Progress opens with two new views. Your year shows the last 12 months of check-ins as a grid of colored squares, one per day, so good stretches and rough patches stand out at a glance. Hover a square to see the day. Habit constellation draws each habit as a star: bigger when you did it more often over the last 30 days, brighter while it is on a run. Both follow your theme, and you can hide or reorder them in Customize like any other Progress panel.

Last night, as your watch saw it

2026-09-27

When last night came from Apple Watch, Sleep on Today shows it as a finished card instead of empty boxes: the total, bedtime to wake, the sleep stages as one bar, and resting heart rate and HRV. Change the hours opens the boxes if the watch got it wrong, and how restful it felt is still yours to say. Workouts from the watch carry a Watch badge.

Today opens on your day, with a Capture button

2026-09-27

The top of Today now shows the day at a glance: a ring that fills as the check-in, habits, writing, plan, and log get something in them, your longest habit run, last night’s sleep (marked when it came from a watch), and the week’s check-ins as seven dots. Tap a block’s name to jump to it. The ring takes the shape of your theme: a reticle for the technology themes, a seal for the gaming ones, a soft orb for the atmospheric ones. Capture, next to Speak, takes a quick typed note or a meal photo and sends it to Inbox, where it is sorted into the day for you to check first, the same as a voice note.

Patterns that read the right days

2026-09-27

Habit completion on Progress counts every habit you were running that day, so checking one of four reads as a quarter, not all of them. A day with no habits logged still stays out of it. Sleep patterns account for drinks from the evening before the night instead of the day after it. Two patterns that skipped a day were replaced: sleep and that day’s habits, and cravings and that night’s sleep. Because the numbers changed, patterns you saw before may come and go as the page recalculates. The weekly reflection now reads the week you picked, with mood, energy, sleep, habits, and workouts, and can mention a pattern Progress already found. The progress story is told from real moments: your first day, day counts, your longest stretch, and coming back after time away. Recall what helped shows what you did when a craving came up as something you tried, not something you marked as helping. A pattern’s explanation can say what the averages were on each side.

One habit across the month

2026-09-23

Habits can show a month of what you logged and what you planned, starting with workouts. A day can be logged, partway, rest, not done, planned, or simply not logged. A blank day stays blank, and a plan you never wrote down is not a miss. A weekly target stays a weekly target. Several workouts on one day stay one list, and the habit that tracks them is not counted a second time. The calendar menu opens the same month.

Five days, your own names, and the night

2026-09-23

The calendar opens on Monday to Friday, because that is the shape most weeks actually have. Three days, the full week, and the month are still a tap away, and the five-day view steps a whole week at a time so Friday does not roll into Saturday. Naming a new block suggests the names you have used before, ranked by how often and how recently you used them, so the thing you do every morning keeps one spelling — which is what will let the app add up how much of your time went to it. A short block now spends its one line on its name instead of a time you can already read off the row it sits on; the full range is still there when you hover. Sleep can be drawn behind the day, from a watch or from hours you typed, split across midnight so the evening sits on the night you went to bed and the morning on the day you got up. And a note that opens by saying yesterday is filed on yesterday, rather than landing on the day you happen to be looking at. A repeat no longer stops after a handful of copies. Daily, weekdays, and weekly keep going, and changing or deleting one asks whether you mean that day or every time it happens.

A weekly goal reads as this week

2026-09-22

A goal you set to reset on Monday now reads as the week you are standing in. Today used to hold every walk you had ever logged up against a target of five and draw a full bar, which told you nothing about the week in front of you; it shows the current week, and the goal card adds the run of weeks behind it, so you can see both how this week is going and whether the weeks before it went the same way. A finished workout lands on the calendar at the hour it happened rather than in the all-day row above it — checking off the last exercise counts as finishing, and a session that never recorded its end is placed by the length it asked for instead of being hidden. Start and end times are typed now, so anything the day contains is reachable, including five in the morning. The heading buttons in a note sit on the same line as the rest.

A calendar you can actually read

2026-09-22

The calendar is the whole day now, midnight to midnight, opening around six in the morning and staying where you left it — so an early start or a late night is somewhere you can scroll to and tap, rather than off the edge of the grid. Hours are taller, the half hour is marked, and a fifteen minute block keeps its name by putting the time beside it instead of clipping it. Two things at the same hour sit side by side rather than one hiding under the other, and time that runs back to back has a visible seam between each piece. One stretch can stand for several habits at once, shown as pills inside it, so a morning of writing can cover the page photo, the gratitude list and the intention without being split into three; marking it as recorded asks before crossing any of them off. A block you set to repeat can be called off as a series instead of one copy at a time. The moment you crossed a habit off is finally kept, so the habit overlay has something to show. On a phone the New note button no longer hides under the data core, and the signup copy reads left to right inside its centred column.

Saying what a stretch of the day was

2026-09-21

Time you have already lived can carry what it was — work, exercise, social, chores, rest, screen, outdoors, creative, care, or commute — and you can report it after the fact. Speak “yesterday I worked nine to five and ran at six” and the review step shows which day each piece is going to before anything is written. Naming the time is what lets the pattern engine ask your questions: whether a long day of work costs you that night’s sleep or the next day’s mood, whether training late makes it harder to fall asleep, whether a late first meal shortens a workout, and whether a day feels better for holding more than one kind of time. There is a written protocol for how these are tested in docs/day-data-science.md, and the engine still only reports what moved together in your own record.

Counting how the app is used, not who used it

2026-09-21

I now count how often each section is opened as a daily total with no account attached to it, so I can tell which parts of the app are worth the work without being able to tell who opened them. Sign-ins are counted the same way. Your own account keeps the time you last signed in and how many times, which is how I see whether an account is still in use; that never leaves the server and it is never joined to the section counts. The privacy policy says all of this in plain words, and Admin has a Usage tab that shows nothing more than the totals.

Workouts on Progress and on the calendar

2026-09-21

Progress has a Workouts panel: sessions, time under the bar, weight moved, distance covered, and your best set per exercise with an estimated one-rep max. Finished workouts show up on the calendar at the time you did them, and a habit can leave a small mark at the time you crossed it off, if you turn that overlay on. A weekly goal can reset on the day you choose, so a Monday week is a Monday week. Library lets you say you have already read a recommendation, and nothing you own comes back as a suggestion. Notes take headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, and lists, with a Preview to read it back.

Calmer pages, and a calendar that fits a phone

2026-09-21

The calendar shows one day at a time on a phone, with the week across the top and that day’s detail reading underneath instead of sliding over the top of it. Early runs and late shifts no longer sit pinned to the edge of the grid — the hours stretch to hold the day you actually had. Today’s calendar is the current week, with longer stretches on the Calendar page, and Last 30 days is a single quiet row. Meals adds up the day underneath, when nutrition is on. Recently handled on Review is one line per item. Handwriting keeps its shape when the window is wide. Sections hold their place while they load instead of snapping in. The About and Experience sections read left to right inside a centred column.

Notes that stay, patterns you can bring back

2026-09-21

Typing a note during a workout no longer loses what you wrote — the clock keeps its own time instead of redrawing the page under your keyboard. On a phone, the New note button stays reachable at the bottom of the list. On Progress, Save, Keep watching, and Useful now say what happened and actually stick, and a pattern you hid by mistake is listed under Patterns so you can bring it back. Writing in the journal never crosses a habit off by name. When you speak or take a page photo, habits start unchecked — check only the ones you already did. Signup copy lines up with the form.

Capture now, then review when it is ready

2026-09-18

Meal photos and Speak are safely received before Recovered starts the longer work. You can leave the page while a private worker prepares the result. Review stays quiet until something is ready, and nothing from AI becomes part of your record until you check, edit, and save it.

Speak, meals, and a fresher page after a deploy

2026-09-18

Coming back after a deploy reloads the new HTML and JS on phone and web. A new note title is selected so you can type over it. Journal history’s long look is the last 30 days, not a calendar month. Calendar slots can be 15 minutes. Meals can take the time you ate, not only now. Empty morning or evening sections stay out of the way until that part of the day. Speak can add a calendar block, a meal, or a todo, hold time, or set a reminder after you review it. Writing about a habit no longer checks it off. A page photo keeps “I am grateful” and “My intention for today is” as written. Saved workouts no longer show a Sunday prefix unless that day is set. Progress standard charts stretch to the card; Detailed is the taller version of the same line. Patterns can show on a long record again: a same-day link is no longer hidden just because many other things were also logged.

Patterns look at timing, then a short try

2026-09-17

A pattern on Progress now checks whether it still shows after day of week and the stretch of days, and can mention other recorded things that were in view. From some patterns you can start a 14-day look. Recovered still calculates first. Observations, not causes.

Ask about a pattern on Progress

2026-09-17

Patterns can group similar findings, and you can ask whether sleep, meals, movement, or habits tended to move together. Recovered still calculates that from your records first. Wearable totals and meal timing can be part of those looks when you have recorded them.

Progress notices patterns in your record

2026-09-17

A Patterns section on Progress can point out relationships in the days you recorded — sleep and energy, meals and cravings, workouts and mood. Recovered calculates them from your data first, then explains in quiet language. They are observations, not causes, and they wait until enough comparable days exist.

Customize starts with your Today

2026-09-17

Customize page now shows what is already on Today, grouped by Top, Main, Check-ins, and Bottom. Look back stays folded. Show all unused opens the rest, grouped, when you want to add something. The phone page is still saved separately.

Library keeps a life, not a backlog

2026-09-17

Library opens on what you are in, then Want to and Finished as collections. Adding and importing sit behind + Add and Import list. Cards read as records. Search is on the page. Suggestions are Find something next, from things you have enjoyed.

Recovered lives at recovered.ca

2026-09-16

The journal has its own domain. recovered.ca is the app. kenziebullock.com stays the portfolio and writing. Old /lifestats links on the portfolio send you over.

Data Core remembers the last write

2026-09-15

The light in the corner is no longer a Save button. It shows that the day is in sync, then opens recent changes. Full history for that day is still there. Undo can wait.

Recovered: put your recovery first

2026-09-15

The journal is Recovered now, at recovered.ca. Recovery is the default signup focus: replacement habits, a craving note, use if you want to count it, a chapter that does not wipe the year, morning and evening mail, and one trusted person who only hears that you showed up. Sleep, fitness, and a quieter notebook are still there. Personal notes, not a clinic.

Notes on the left, the page on the right

2026-09-14

The notes list sits beside the open note on a wide screen. Pin one to keep it first, search, and start a new note from the top. On a phone, tap a note to open it and go back to the list. Archive still puts one out of the way.

Age, height, and weight on Profile

2026-09-14

Optional body notes live on Profile. Age, height, and weight can go with a meals, diet, or Daily Review ask so a lookup can fit you a little better. Metric or US units. Not a clinic record, and not your name.

On track follows the days so far

2026-09-14

A weekly habit goal no longer looks behind on day two when you have already done those days. Link a habit and count the days it met its bar, or add the counts so extra on one day can cover another. Target and unit stay hidden unless you add the counts.

Calendar stays Calendar

2026-09-14

Journal history is Calendar on phone and web. A busy day shows the first plan line and how many more; quiet days stay short. On a wide screen, Speak and a page photo show what an AI request sends on hover, without a question mark.

A weekly goal starts on its weekday

2026-09-14

If a weekly goal begins on Wednesday, this week is Wednesday through Tuesday, then the next Wednesday starts a new week. A sliding last-seven-days count no longer cuts across that line.

Plan lines on the week cards

2026-09-14

Journal history cards list that day’s plan, with a strike through what is done. Soon and someday stay off the card; those are not tied to a date.

What an AI request sends

2026-09-14

Ask, Speak, a page photo, meal lookup, and library suggestions each say what leaves the app. I do not sell it. The provider sees the text or photo, not your email or name.

Morning mail habits, and a few quieter fixes

2026-09-14

Yesterday’s email gives each habit its own color chip and a done or not-done mark, so the boxes no longer run together. Adding a meal looks up calories unless you turn that off. Writing on a wide screen grows with the text. On a phone, workout rest stays full size until you scroll, then a slim clock holds under the top bar. The “add this to the day” prompt has space, and Add it is a filled chip.

The rail sits in groups

2026-09-14

Journal stays first. Progress, Plan, Health, and Notebook fold the rest. A heading with one page is just that page. Open and close a group; the one you are in stays open. The phone menu uses the same groups.

History of the whole day

2026-09-13

History sits next to Save. Each item is what changed in that edit: writing, habits you check, medication, meals, sleep, the plan, and the rest, with the time and the device. Look back for now. Days from before this only have writing if they already did.

A week you can see

2026-09-13

Journal Calendar is a Sunday-to-Saturday week, or two weeks, or a month. Today stays circled. Finished days fill in. On Calendar, the top is an hour grid: attach a habit to a slot, and plan a default day in a modal.

A week you can design

2026-09-13

Calendar is in the rail. The top is the week: habits, the plan, morning and night. Build a default day, log time as it happened, keep dentist-style care, and start habits from a life you recognize. Download a calendar file one way. Tomorrow is still waiting in the morning, not a score.

A page for designing habits

2026-09-13

Habits is now in the rail. Stack one after another, write how it starts, and look back at history. Checking off still happens on the day. Every signup profile starts with habits on.

How a habit starts, and what comes next

2026-09-12

When you add or edit a habit, How this starts holds the after / I will line, a stack after another habit, a two-minute version, and a reward you chose. Stacked habits sit in a chain on the day. If yesterday was missed, the section asks you not to miss twice. The habit grid can show this month in week rows. Two misses in a row read a little cooler. Not a score.

Rest can leave music playing

2026-09-10

Play over music no longer plays a rest track, so Firefox and other phones can keep a song going. The bell is armed in the background. You can also turn off Start when I check a set and start rest yourself.

Rest can play over music

2026-09-10

Play over music keeps Apple Music going while you rest. Turn it off if you want the rest on the lock screen instead. The Ring/Silent switch can mute the bell when music stays on.

Rest between sets

2026-09-10

Checking a set starts a rest timer on Workouts. Pick 30 seconds to 3 minutes. A boxing bell rings at 0. Keep the screen on to watch it; many phones can still play the bell from the lock screen.

The rail stays, and Forest habits fill the pill

2026-09-10

Cosmic and Dream no longer scroll the left rail away with the page. Forest habit color fills the pill instead of sitting as a second rounded cap.

Habits, writing, and sections stay easier to use

2026-09-10

Habit cards share one look: tap the pill, type a count, no plus and minus. Writing’s ⋯ menu works. Sections minimize with − and hide with ×; the day you logged stays. Edit and Archive sit together on a goal.

One home URL, and the right bar on reload

2026-09-10

/index.html now goes to /. Reloading Goals or another app page no longer flashes the signed-out Sign up bar before the journal nav lands.

The landing shows the journal

2026-09-10

Signed-out /lifestats still starts with Log in and Sign up. Below that, a few quiet previews of the day, habits, sleep, and themes.

When a later item was added

2026-09-10

Someday and Within 2 weeks show the day you added each item. On the journal it sits with the note when you expand the card.

Lists match the theme

2026-09-10

Theme, journal, goals, sleep, workouts, and profile lists open in the same look as the rest of the page. The system menu is gone.

Edit a goal, and say when it started

2026-09-10

Open a goal and change the name, why, number, dates, or how often. Pick a start date so a week that began Monday can count the days you already logged. The list stays in the order you added them. Not a reshuffle every time you tap Today.

Earlier writing, when you want it

2026-09-10

Writing has Edit history: earlier versions of the day, with the time and the device. Look back for now — restore comes later. Days from before this stay blank.

A sleep journal of its own

2026-09-09

Sleep is a page in the rail, and a signup profile. Last night takes about a minute: hours, a 0–100 score slider, six 1–5 notes, and anything unusual. Tonight holds target times and wind-down. A Shortcut can send stages, times, HRV, and a device score; those stay separate from what you type. Not a clinic chart.

Goals you already have stay out of the way

2026-09-09

Minimize templates and the add form. Pick a template and the form opens so you can confirm, then the new card comes into view. Type a count habit’s number, or keep using plus and minus. Ongoing shows once. Not a score.

Yesterday’s mail can mention the week

2026-09-09

The morning mail can say if open goals are on track, and if this week is on pace for eight of ten — not a list of every goal. Adventure adds Build a Healthy Lifestyle: hold eight of ten for twelve weeks. Sleep, food, and movement feed Vitality; learning feeds Intelligence; people feed Social. Not a second score.

This week, in five areas

2026-09-09

Goals and Stats now look back at the week: sleep, food, movement, learning, and people, two points each. Enough, some, or a quiet week. Eight of ten over four weeks is the aim. A look-back, not a grade.

A habit day can fill a goal, including from a watch

2026-09-09

A practice linked to a habit counts days that meet that habit’s daily bar, not a raw total. A watch step or exercise sample can be that day. Mark Today on a manual practice. Hitting the enough-percent can unlock Enough. Not a score.

SMART goals you can start from

2026-09-09

The Goals page has templates for a healthy system — sleep, food, movement, learning, and people. Pick one and the form fills. Change the number, the weeks, or the why before you add it. Not a score.

A goal can be a practice, not only a finish line

2026-09-09

Keep a goal going with no deadline. Set how often it should happen, and what percent counts as enough — 80% of three sessions a week for 90 days. Missing a day is not failure. On track uses that bar. Not a score.

Goals can name an area

2026-09-09

A goal can sit in sleep, diet, exercise, learning, or social. Each area has an icon. Filter the list by area. The page is about building a healthy system. A lofty number is still fine. Not a score.

Newspaper feels like an edition, not a novelty template

2026-09-09

Newspaper is newsprint and ink: serif headlines, press blue, and editorial red only for alerts. Habits read as today’s stories and goals as features. Notebook stays the handwritten journal.

Dreamscape feels like twilight, not Cosmic in purple

2026-09-09

Dreamscape is a hazy night landscape: moonlight text, soft lavender, and distant hills. Habits read as practices and goals as destinations. Cosmic stays the starfield; Quiet stays the calm light look.

High Fantasy feels like a manuscript, not an RPG skin

2026-09-09

High Fantasy is warm parchment: forest green, rare gold, and a literary serif. Daily habits read as rituals and goals as quests. RPG stays the dark character sheet; Forest stays the field journal.

Arcade feels like a cabinet, not an 8-bit game

2026-09-09

Arcade is a dark cabinet with bright scores: electric blue, pink, and coin yellow. Goals read as challenges and XP as points. RPG stays the adventure; Cyber OS stays neon.

Mainframe feels like a CRT, not a neon OS

2026-09-09

Mainframe is a phosphor terminal: pale text, green accents, amber warnings. Goals read as processes and today’s list as operations. Terminal stays the all-green look; Cyber OS stays neon.

Theme families, a phone look, and a quieter rail

2026-09-09

Themes are grouped by mood, with twelve new looks. Desk and phone can differ. Signup picks a starting theme. Updates opens on versions, with Help and In the app next to it. Long todos wrap. A counted habit keeps a check once the goal is hit. Hide views you do not use.

A helper on the home page

2026-09-09

A small teal fairy follows the mouse on the home page. Hover a link or a button and it says what that control is for. The stars that lit up nearby are gone.

Apple Health shows when the phone last sent totals

2026-09-08

A token write of samples or workouts marks Apple Health connected and stamps the last sync. Settings matches what the iPhone sent.

A watch habit tally shows as Watch

2026-09-08

A steps, flights, energy, or exercise tally filled from a sample is labeled Watch. Change the number and the label leaves so the count is yours.

An Exercise habit can take watch minutes

2026-09-08

Flag a count habit Exercise and that day’s exercise minutes fill the tally when the watch number is higher. A name like Walk no longer has to guess. Workout and Exercise can both exist.

A counted habit can have an 8,000-step goal

2026-09-08

Daily goal used to stop at 999, so a steps habit could log a watch total but could not have a real walking goal. The cap is now 99,999.

Watch sleep shows as Watch on the journal

2026-09-07

A night filled from a sample is labeled Watch. Change the hours or minutes and the label leaves so the number is yours.

Step and energy totals can fill a counted habit

2026-09-07

A count habit whose unit is steps, flights, or kcal takes the day’s sample when that number is higher than what you already logged. Sit and other named habits stay as they are.

Watch sleep can fill an empty night on the journal

2026-09-07

A sleep sample from a token or a CSV writes the minutes on that day only if you have not already logged sleep. A number you typed stays.

A watch workout now lands on the day

2026-09-07

A token event with minutes or distance shows on Workouts and the journal as a Watch session. One you typed stays. A habit flagged Workout checks off. A later send with the same id updates that session.

A token can send a watch workout as an event

2026-09-07

The same device token can PUT a named run or ride with minutes or distance. A later send with the same id replaces the earlier one. The day does not change yet.

Upload a CSV of the daily health totals

2026-09-07

Settings can read a spreadsheet of date, type, value, and unit. It fills the same totals Stats already shows. A later write for the same day replaces the earlier one.

A token so health totals can arrive without the website

2026-09-07

Settings can issue a device token. A Shortcut or a later iPhone app can POST the daily totals Stats already knows. You see the secret once. The login cookie is still how the website works.

Morning mail can mention yesterday’s XP

2026-09-05

If Character mode and the morning email are both on, yesterday’s note can mention XP and momentum. It is the same derived number, not a second score.

An optional side quest of the day

2026-09-05

Adventure can show one small extra for the date. Skip it and it stays gone today. It is never required and it does not change XP.

A wardrobe that unlocks with level

2026-09-05

Character shows cosmetic gear as the derived level rises. It lives on the sheet only. Nothing to equip, and nothing to buy.

Library titles can keep genre, maker, and country

2026-09-05

Add a genre, author or maker, and country on a library title. Character groups finished ones by genre. Import still only needs a title.

The journal can wear an adventure header

2026-09-05

With Character mode on, the day page says Adventure log. The page underneath is still the journal.

A year strip on the character sheet

2026-09-05

Character now rolls the current year from dated journal days: XP, quests met, books, and workouts. Earlier years sit in a short list underneath.

Goals can unlock one after another

2026-09-05

A goal can wait on another. Adventure only shows the next one once the previous number is met. The journal still hides a locked follow-up.

Big goals can read as HP

2026-09-05

On Adventure, a large open goal shows remaining as HP. The number is the same progress you already see on Goals. Character mode does not store a second score.

A label from the month, not a class you pick

2026-09-05

After two weeks of journal days, Character names an archetype from whichever attribute has been loudest. Close stats stay Wanderer. You never choose one.

Achievements from the journal

2026-09-05

Character lists milestones you can see from the start, and a few discoveries that stay hidden until the logs already support them. Adventure names one if it unlocked today.

Optional Character mode

2026-09-05

Turn it on in Settings. Adventure shows today’s quests and momentum. Character shows a sheet, skills from habits, and lifetime totals. All of it is derived from the journal. Missing a day lowers momentum; it does not wipe a streak on those pages.

Customize says what a section does

2026-09-05

Hover a question mark on Journal or Stats customize to read a short blurb. On a phone, tap the question mark.

Save lives in one button

2026-09-05

Draft, Save now, Saving, Saved, and Save failed all sit on the journal save button. The extra status line is gone.

Journal days can be a habit

2026-09-05

Flag a habit as Writing. Text or ink on the day checks it off. You can still uncheck it if the note should not count.

Phone nav sits at the top

2026-09-05

On a phone the LifeStats bar sits under the status area, so the browser bar does not cover Menu, Day, Speak, or Settings.

Updates stays in LifeStats

2026-09-05

What’s new uses the LifeStats left nav. On the logged-out LifeStats page the rail is the same dark look as the home site, login, and signup.

Each set is a row

2026-09-04

On Workouts, every set is its own line with reps and weight. Add or remove a set during the day. Old workouts keep the same set count.

RPG theme

2026-09-04

A new look in the theme list. RPG is dark leather and gold type, Cinzel titles, and a page that reads like a game journal.

Phone pages stay still

2026-09-04

On a phone the page does not pinch-zoom, and it does not slide left or right.

Public pages match the home rail

2026-09-04

Login, sign up, FAQ, Updates, privacy, and terms use the same dark rail as the home page. The blog fills a tall window. Resume in the footer opens the PDF. /resume is gone.

Stars on the home page

2026-09-04

The home page has a dim star field. Moving the mouse lights the stars nearby. The old crosshair is gone.

Fill past days when you add a habit

2026-09-04

Adding a habit you have already been doing can mark the last 7, 14, or 21 days done. Days that already have a log stay as they are. The day you have open is left for you to check.

Quiet theme

2026-09-04

A new look in the theme list. Quiet is sage and mist, Atkinson type, and a flat page with clear sections. Stats drops the HUD type and glow. Light, dark, and the rest keep what they had.

Ask with journal, intention, and gratitude apart

2026-09-04

Ask about this stretch can send journal writing, intention, and gratitude as their own checks, not one writing pile. Stats has that ask on the look-back page. Weeks recap sends those three as separate fields too.

Pick a metric on Habits and the day

2026-09-04

Habits and the day and What followed can compare against the day rating or a Daily Review part — mood, energy, stress, comfort, clarity, productivity, or social. The choice is remembered on Stats and on Journal.

Hide retired habits on Stats

2026-09-04

Retired habits stay off the Stats totals list. Show them from the Habits panel, or from Customize dashboard, if you still want the old totals.

Daily Review trend on Stats

2026-09-04

Stats charts the last 14 days of Daily Review under the averages, so mood, energy, and the rest show as a line, not only a number.

Journal sections sit apart on the web

2026-09-04

On a wide window, each day section has a stronger title and its own block, so Writing, Habits, and the rest do not run together. The phone day stays compact.

Phone bar for Menu, the day, Speak, and Settings

2026-09-04

On a phone, those four sit on a bar at the bottom. Customize, Profile, Settings, and Log out open from Settings. Customize uses arrows instead of drag.

Admin is one page

2026-09-04

People, invites, writing, pages, and ChatGPT requests sit together under Admin. Profile is only your account. Old /admin/users and /admin/posts links still land in the right section.

Settings, and which view opens first

2026-09-04

Settings holds theme, page start, and which view opens after login. The left rail ends with your name, Settings, and Log out. Profile still has name, email, password, and yesterday by email.

Ten-digit invites and no AI cap for admins

2026-09-04

Admins can generate a 10-digit invite code instead of inventing one. Admin accounts do not use the daily AI cap.

Music, unused by type, readable dashboard

2026-09-04

Library Concert is Music, so a band, album, or song can sit next to books. Unused Customize sections sort by type. Customize dashboard on neo-brutal uses ink on the yellow readout so it stays readable.

Writing matches the home page

2026-09-04

The blog uses the same dark left rail as kenziebullock.com. LifeStats landing and the logged-out Home rail link back to the portfolio.

Uncheck a habit after you speak it

2026-09-04

A habit that was checked because you named it in writing or Speak can be unchecked. Saving the day no longer ticks it back on while the name is still on the page. Speak or the assistant can check it again when you confirm.

Stats as a dashboard

2026-09-03

Stats is the look-back page: mood trend, habits and the day, what followed, weeks recap, the last-30 heatmap, plus sleep hours and habit completion over two weeks. Customize dashboard turns widgets on or off and reorders them. New journal pages keep those look-back sections off.

Show everything and apply a page start

2026-09-03

Signup stays quiet unless you pick a focus. Health, diet, and fitness turn on more of the day, and Show everything turns the full catalog on. Profile can apply those chips later without wiping column order, with a link to Customize. Journal hints once when unused sections are sitting there.

Phone and profile polish

2026-09-03

Customize page on a phone is one On / Unused list and scrolls. Profile keeps Patreon and yesterday-email in view; name, email, password, and ideas sit behind a button. The journal top bar stays on one line. Habits uncheck on a tap. The admin ChatGPT page stacks instead of floating timestamps.

What followed and weeks recap

2026-09-03

What followed can use Daily Review (low mood, low energy, high stress) and shows how many mornings the pattern is based on. Weeks recap can pick 7, 14, or 21 days, reads Daily Review when it is logged, and can keep the look in Writing.

Ask about a GAD-7 or PHQ-9

2026-09-03

After a score is in, ask how it sits next to Daily Review, sleep, meals, or meds over this day or the last 7, 14, or 30. Keep the look in Writing if it fits. A tendency, not a diagnosis.

Ask about diet and body

2026-09-03

Turn Ask about diet & body on in Customize page. Write a question, pick this day or the last 7, 14, or 30, and send meals, stool, and meds. Keep the look in Writing if it fits.

Ask about a stretch of meals

2026-09-03

On the Meals page, pick this day or the last 7, 14, or 30. Optionally include medications and a note. Keep the look on the page if it fits.

Ask about today’s Daily Review

2026-09-03

When all seven Daily Review scores are in, ask for a short look at the day. Optionally send sleep, meals, and meds, add a note, and keep the result in Writing.

Ask about a stretch of the day

2026-09-03

Turn Ask about this stretch on in Customize page. Pick this day or the last 7, 14, or 30. Send Daily Review, GAD-7, PHQ-9, sleep, meals, and meds. Choose patterns or a meals-balance pass, optionally add a note, and optionally place the result into Writing. You keep the look, or you do not.

A peek at workouts on the day

2026-09-03

Turn Workouts on in Customize page for a read-only list and a link to the page. Stats totals sessions and minutes. A watch event can add a Watch session on the day.

Speak can log a workout

2026-09-02

Say you ran for 20 minutes. After you review it, it lands on the day. If the name matches something on today’s plan, Within 2 weeks, or Later, you can check that off in the same review.

A workout can check a habit

2026-09-02

Flag a habit as Workout in Manage. Checking off a set or finishing a run that day checks it off. The page does not invent a habit for you.

Search an exercise name

2026-09-02

Type squat or bench and pick from a saved list. You can still write a name that is not in the list.

Time and distance workouts

2026-09-02

A workout can be sets, minutes, or a distance. Log a 20-minute run, mark it done, and keep lifts with per-set checkboxes.

A page for workouts

2026-09-02

Save named workouts with sets and weight. Start one today, add a one-off lift, and check off each set. Time, distance, and Speak come later.

Today, two weeks, and later

2026-09-02

Plan is today. A new Within 2 weeks section is soon. Someday stays later. Each can sit wherever you put it in Customize. Check one off on the card, or move it into today’s plan.

Remove a plan item on a phone

2026-09-02

Today and tomorrow plan rows have a Remove control that stays visible. Clearing the text is no longer the only way to drop an item.

Medications leave habits

2026-09-02

Medications have their own Manage list and a 30-day grid. Once a day, a few doses, or usual times. Checking them off no longer creates a habit.

Retro Pixel, Neo-Brutal, and Cyber OS

2026-09-02

Three new looks in the theme list. Retro Pixel is a CRT grid. Neo-Brutal is cream, ink, and hard edges. Cyber OS is a neon desktop, not the sci-fi HUD.

Sci-fi fields match the theme

2026-09-02

Text fields in Manage habits, and other journal fields that sat outside the page shell, now use the theme surface instead of a white box.

Intention uses the full row

2026-09-02

The intention field stretches across the day. On a wide page it stays one line, with Speak beside it. When the view shrinks, it wraps.

Public FAQ, privacy, and updates

2026-09-02

LifeStats now has a public FAQ, privacy and terms pages, and the updates list is readable without signing in. Journal data stays private.

Speak from the top of the day

2026-09-02

A Speak button in the journal chrome records once. You review writing, intention, gratitude, plan, meals with calories, and habit names before anything is saved.

Heatmap only paints days that count

2026-09-02

A new habit no longer fills the last 30 days with empty squares. Squares show once the habit exists, and counted habits fill by how far you got that day.

Writing and speak can check off habits

2026-09-02

Name a habit in writing or gratitude and it checks off, or adds the minutes you said. Speak shows what will land on the habit so you can confirm it first.

Medications as dose habits

2026-09-02

Each medication can be a habit. Check it off, count the doses, or mark the times you usually take it. Hitting the day amount checks the habit off. Changing the usual times or the daily amount does not rewrite days you already logged. Archiving it, or turning Medication off, takes the name off the list.

Sit until you stop

2026-09-02

The sit timer starts open. Press start, then stop when you are done, and the minutes go on the sit habit. Locking the phone keeps the time. Or pick 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes.

Gratitude and intention check off

2026-09-02

If Gratitude or Intention is on, it becomes a habit if you do not already have one. Writing, speaking, or a page photo checks it off for the day.

Alcohol, caffeine, or a drink you name

2026-09-02

Drinks can be alcohol, caffeine, or something you add. The old count is still alcohol, for stats and the next-morning note.

A spinner while it looks that up

2026-09-02

Voice, a page photo, recap, calorie lookup, and library suggestions show a small spinner until they finish, even if you leave that section.

Theme on profile and admin

2026-09-02

Profile, users, posts, pages, and ChatGPT requests follow the LifeStats look. The picker is on those pages too.

Clear a GAD-7 note

2026-09-01

Remove the GAD-7 note from the journal when you do not want it stored. Stats follow. Take the questions again later.

The day stays in view

2026-09-01

On a wide screen the date, Customize page, day switcher, and save stay at the top while you scroll, including past quotes and habits. The journal uses about two thirds of a large screen. On a phone, Customize and the day switcher stay in the top nav.

Quotes you keep

2026-09-01

Save lines you like. Turn Quote on for the journal, and the morning email can include yesterday’s pick. Not a score.

Yesterday by email

2026-09-01

Opt in on profile and a morning mail looks at yesterday: habits, how the day felt, gratitude. Not a score. Send a copy now if you want to see it.

Invite by email

2026-09-01

Admins can send an invite from profile. The mail has a link to join and the code already on the page.

New on a page, or take one off

2026-08-30

Admins can mark a LifeStats page New in the nav, or hide it for everyone else.

Sit can be turned off

2026-08-30

Customize page can hide Sit. Habits stay. The timer and logged sits wait until you want them.

Nav, theme, and What’s new

2026-08-30

The button says Patreon. Theme is just the list. Stats sits under Journal. Each What’s new card can show the version. The landing rail matches the page.

See what went to ChatGPT

2026-08-30

Admins can open the JSON sent for recap, meals, library suggestions, and page photos. The photo itself is left out.

Send an idea from Profile

2026-08-30

Write a feature idea on Profile. It goes to my inbox, with your name so I can write back.

A notes page

2026-08-30

Write scratch notes, or copy a day from the journal. Archive one when you want it out of the way. It stays there to look up later.

A page photo can fill more than writing

2026-08-30

Photograph a page and choose what to add: writing, an intention, gratitude, and todos. Nothing lands on the day until you say so.

Sitting lives with habits

2026-08-30

The timer sits on the habit list. Link an existing habit, or add one. Log minutes from a guided sit you already did — they go on that same habit.

Nav on the left

2026-08-30

On a wide screen the LifeStats links sit in a left rail. A phone still uses the top bar and menu.

A date on Done

2026-08-30

Finished titles keep the day they landed in Done. You can change it, so a book from 2019 is not stuck as today.

Join free, or with an invite

2026-08-30

Anyone can create an account. An invite code starts you as paid, with AI. Free can open Patreon in a new window. I still turn that on by hand.

Tap the whole habit

2026-08-30

The habit card is the control. A check habit toggles from anywhere on the card. A count habit adds one; minus and plus are still there.

Mark a Someday item done

2026-08-30

Finish one and it leaves the waiting pile. The journal only shows what is still open. Done items live on the Someday page, and finishing one frees a slot.

Someday is just the title

2026-08-30

On the journal, a Someday card is the name. Hover, or tap on a phone, to see the note. Add still takes a note. The Someday page is where you edit them.

A version on the door

2026-08-30

The LifeStats landing and the Updates page now show the version, so you can tell which build you are on.

Another device will not wipe the day

2026-08-30

If one device still has a blank today and another already saved, the blank tab will not overwrite it. Coming back to the page picks up the saved day.

Put a suggestion in Done

2026-08-30

Suggestions from More like these can still go to Want to, or straight to Done if you already finished them.

A day's worth of AI

2026-08-30

Voice, recap, calorie lookup, and library suggestions share one daily cap (20 by default). It resets tomorrow. Free still has no AI.

Phone and web pages

2026-08-30

Customize page now saves a phone layout and a web layout. A narrow window uses the phone page. Until you change it on a phone, it follows the web page.

A notebook look

2026-08-30

A new theme, Notebook. It is paper and Caveat. Light, dark, sci-fi, and developer keep the type they already had.

Find a section

2026-08-30

The journal now has a search box. Type a name and the rest of the page hides until you clear it. Off sections stay off; turn them on in Customize page.

Choose a focus when you join

2026-08-29

Sign up now asks what you want on the day — health, diet, fitness, or just the everyday notebook — and has you read the three notices first. You can change the page later.

More of the day on Stats

2026-08-29

Stats now totals meal macros, averages Daily Review, and shows a GAD-7 score and date when you have one. Not a diagnosis.

Meal totals at the bottom

2026-08-29

After the list, meals now repeats the day’s calorie and macro total so it is still there when you scroll.

Pick the kinds of more-like-these

2026-08-29

When you ask the library for more titles, you can keep it to books, movies, or any mix.

On track, or not

2026-08-29

Open goals now say if the current number is on pace for the date. Not a score.

Unused sections have a shelf

2026-08-29

Off items in Customize page sit under Unused. Turn one on and pick a band. New sections you have not seen get a note on the journal.

Questions in the same voice

2026-08-29

Remove, delete, archive, and leave-this-day now ask in a LifeStats card instead of the browser box.

Drag past the fold in Customize

2026-08-29

Dragging a section toward the top or bottom of Customize page now scrolls the list with you.

A front door before the journal

2026-08-29

If you are not signed in, /lifestats is a short welcome with Log in and Sign up. Signed in still goes to the day.

PHQ-9, when you want it

2026-08-29

Turn it on in Customize page. Nine questions, one score, a date. Not a diagnosis.

GAD-7, when you want it

2026-08-29

Turn it on in Customize page. Seven questions, one score, a date. Not a diagnosis.

Meals get their own page

2026-08-29

Describe a meal and ask for calories and macros. The day still keeps a peek. Old meal notes stay as they were.

A habit you already keep can fill a goal

2026-08-29

Link a habit when you add the goal, or attach one later. Days you already logged still count through the deadline.

Daily Review

2026-08-29

Seven notes from 1 to 10: mood, energy, stress, comfort, clarity, productivity, and social. It stays off until you turn it on. How was your day still carries the charts.

Rate a finished title, then ask for more

2026-08-29

Done items can take a 1 to 5. Send the rated pile, or everything in Done, and get a few suggestions you can add to Want to.

Import a list into the library

2026-08-29

Paste titles, or upload a text or PDF file. Put the pile in Want to or Done without adding each one by hand.

A pile for later

2026-08-29

Someday is a card for things you might do, with a note if you need one. Move one into today’s plan when it is time. It stays off until you turn it on.

Open goals sit on the day

2026-08-29

Active goals and their progress live on /lifestats. Hide them in Customize page if you want a quieter day.

A sentence for the day

2026-08-29

Turn on Intention in Customize page. It sits as a banner at the top. It stays off until you want it.

Customize the page, not just the day

2026-08-29

Customize follows the page: top, the day, the side, and bottom. A pill shows the type. Drag a section into any band.

Library cards hold up in sci-fi

2026-08-29

Titles stay readable on the dark board. The site also has a favicon now.

A long gratitude line can wrap

2026-08-29

Gratitude items drop onto the next line instead of disappearing off the side of the box.

The handwriting pad starts tucked away

2026-08-29

Writing keeps the pad minimized until you expand it. How was your day and Writing are separated by the same line as the rest of the day.

Today stays today after midnight

2026-08-29

A tab left open overnight no longer shows yesterday’s writing, gratitude, sleep, or habits as this morning. Plan items still arrive the way they should.

Write with a stylus or a finger

2026-08-28

The writing section has a pad that keeps your strokes, including how hard a stylus pressed. Typed notes stay there too.

A journal page becomes text

2026-08-28

Upload a photo of a written page, or take one on your phone. The words go into today’s writing. The picture is not kept.

Put the day where you want it

2026-08-27

Customize can move a section into the day column, the side, or full width, and change the order. It follows you on any device.

Habit colors hold up in the dark

2026-08-27

Dark, sci-fi, and developer lift inky habit paints so the heatmap, chips, and checks stay visible. The stored color does not change.

Auth0 matches the rest of the form

2026-08-27

Continue with Auth0 is the same full-width pill as Log in and Sign up, in the same purple, so it belongs on the card instead of looking like a leftover Bootstrap outline.

The week sits at the top

2026-08-27

Last 30 days sits under the stats on the right. Recent days are at the bottom. The plan stays at the top of that column. Save is next to the date. The day no longer asks for a name.

Plans stay on the day you wrote them

2026-08-27

This day is only that day. Tomorrow is written here and waiting in the morning. The day before no longer shows yesterday’s list.

Auth0 comes back on the API port

2026-08-27

Local Continue with Auth0 talks to Express, not the Vue proxy. Vue stays on 8080 so PORT=3000 does not park the UI on 3001.

Continue with Auth0

2026-08-27

Login and register can use Auth0 when the tenant env is set. Email and password still work. Auth0-only accounts do not get a password.

Four looks for LifeStats

2026-08-26

Pick light, dark, sci-fi, or developer from the nav. It stays with your account.

The home page is a door

2026-08-26

The portfolio landing is cleaner, and LifeStats sits there as the first app on this domain.

LifeStats has its own URL

2026-08-26

The journal lives under /lifestats. Home in the app stays there. The resume site still has a LifeStats door. Old /journal links still work.

The day saves itself

2026-08-26

The journal writes in the background after you pause. Customize day is a real button, and the layout list is grouped so more sections can land later.

A calmer way in and out

2026-08-26

The journal nav matches the rest of the app, collapses on a phone, and uses your name instead of a long email. Log in lands in the journal. Sign up signs you in.

Who is using the journal

2026-08-26

Admins can see accounts, how many days they logged, and pause access. AI (voice and recap) can be turned off per person, for a later subscription gate. Not the writing itself.

What changed, in the app

2026-08-26

This page. What you can do now, and a short note for each user-facing deploy. Internal merges stay off the list.

Long-term goals without a score

2026-08-26

Goals got their own page. A name, a number, a deadline, optional why. Fill in by hand, from a habit, or from learning time. Archive instead of delete.

The rest of the day on stats

2026-08-26

Sleep, drinks, meals, learning, stool days, meds, tags, the next-day plan, and the library now show up in the totals.

A library for what you are in

2026-08-26

Books, games, shows, movies, concerts. Want to, now, and done — including things you already finished.

Count a habit without turning it into a streak

2026-08-26

Count habits can have a goal of 0, which means log only. Stats look at the habit and the day in both directions.

Stool, if you want it

2026-08-26

A count and Hard / Okay / Easy. Off until you turn it on. Tomorrow can mention a hard day.

Meals as notes, not nutrition

2026-08-26

Write what you ate. No calorie estimate, no macros. Off until you turn it on.

Time spent learning

2026-08-26

Log minutes on the day. Later, a goal can use the same numbers.

A recap of the day

2026-08-26

Ask for a pass over what you already wrote. It does not score you.

What was around you

2026-08-25

Note the place and the cues, so the day is not only the rating.

A plan for tomorrow

2026-08-25

A short list for the next day, written while today is still close.

Talk instead of type

2026-08-25

A voice memo becomes text in the journal or gratitude. If the transcribe quota is used up, it says so clearly.

Yesterday can color today

2026-08-25

A hard sleep, a hard stool, or a heavy drinks day can show up on the next morning so you are not guessing.

Sleep, drinks, and meds

2026-08-25

Hours plus restless / okay / restful. A personal drinks count. Supplements and medication you can mark taken. Not a doctor export.

Show only the sections you use

2026-08-25

Toggle and minimize journal sections. The choice stays with your account. New inputs default off.

A stats screen for the log

2026-08-24

Totals and a look at how days have felt, without turning the journal into a game.

Habits and the day

2026-08-24

When there is enough data, stats can show how a habit lines up with how the day felt.

Gratitude and a timer

2026-08-24

Short gratitude lists, and a meditation timer on the day.
