What Sonavra sends to AI
Every AI feature in Sonavra is optional. This page lists each one, what it sends, and when you see it before it goes.
The short version
- AI runs only when you use a feature. The one exception is the AI morning recap, which runs each morning after you turn it on.
- Requests go to OpenAI from Sonavra’s own account. Your name, email and account are not sent.
- Every feature starts on Ask first. On the website and in the phone apps, that shows you the exact data that will be sent and waits for your yes.
- What you wrote is sent as written. A name or detail in a note goes with it.
- Photos have their location, date and camera details removed before they go.
- What AI reads from your voice, notes and photos waits for you to approve it before it is added to your days.
- Sonavra does not sell what is sent, and does not use it for ads.
When you will not see it first
Ask first covers most requests, but not all of them. These go without the full preview:
- A feature you set to Send when I tap goes as soon as you tap it.
- The AI morning recap runs on its own each morning.
- A voice memo, note or photo sent through Capture shows a description of what will go, not the recording or photo itself.
- When a voice memo or note mentions a meal, each meal is also sent for an estimate, unless Meal estimate is Off.
What is kept
- An explanation of a pattern is saved with the pattern, so you can read it again.
- For each reflection or letter, Sonavra keeps a short record of which feature ran, the model, how long it took and whether the answer passed its checks. It does not keep what you wrote unless you turn on Keep my reflection examples for private testing.
- Sonavra counts AI uses each day, per feature, without your account on the count.
- OpenAI says it does not train its models on data sent through its API, and keeps it for up to 30 days to check for misuse.
Every feature, and what it sends
Each feature is listed with what you do to send it.

Each morning, once you turn it on
- AI morning recap
- Turn on the AI morning recap in Settings; it then goes with each morning email

What you can change
- In Settings, under AI, set each feature to Ask first, Send when I tap or Off.
- Keep journal writing, meals, medications, check-ins, photos or voice out. A feature that only reads that kind of record turns off with it.
- Illness and flare-ups stay out of the monthly letter unless you turn them on.
- The AI morning recap has its own switch, with the morning email.
How many uses each plan includes
- Free: 3 uses a week
- Supporter: 15 uses a day
- Plus: 50 uses a day
