A sober day counter that doesn’t send you back to zero

Sonavra counts the days since, and keeps this year’s sober days in view if you start again.

A Sober habit sits at the top of Today as a morning check-in. It says “Sober since June 17” the way a sobriety date is said, marks the days worth a moment, and when a run ends it says that starting again is part of it. The days before still count.

How it works

A morning check-in

Each morning asks about yesterday, which can be answered honestly. Or close out today in the evening, if that suits you better.

The “since” line

“Sober since June 17.” Milestones at one week, 30 days, 90 days, six months and a year get one quiet line, not a parade.

Starting again

“Starting again is part of it. 212 sober days this year still count.” The count starts over; the year does not.

Beside the rest of your life

Sleep, meals, movement, cravings and writing sit on the same day, so a hard stretch has context and a good one has reasons.

What it never does

A Sober card, made up

Three mornings from one year. The middle one is the one most apps get wrong.

One day at a time.
