Mindful minutes, from your Apple Watch or a timer in the app
Sit for two minutes or twenty. The minutes land on a Meditate habit by themselves.
The Sit timer in Sonavra has a real bell, a breathing circle and short written guides. Minutes from the Apple Watch, Waking Up, Headspace or any app that writes to Apple Health fill the same habit when the iPhone app syncs, so ten minutes on the web and fifteen in another app make twenty-five.
The Sit timer
Short written guides
Open awareness, counting the breath, a body scan, noting, kindness, a sit for a craving, a walking sit and box breathing. Each is a few lines, with a cue every five minutes if you want one.
A real bell
One at the start, one at the end, and one every five or ten minutes if you ask. The screen stays awake on the sit page.
Two minutes counts
A two-minute sit is a habit you can keep. “45 min over 3 days this week” is the whole report.
One word after
Calmer, about the same, or restless. Some sits are like that, and the minutes still count.
From Apple Health
- Mindful minutes written by the Watch, Waking Up, Headspace, Calm or Insight Timer reach the Meditate habit when the iPhone app syncs.
- A sit from the web timer and a sit from another app are added together, not counted twice.
- Sits show on the calendar with their length, so a month of sitting is something you can look back on.
